What is Anti-Wrinkle treatment?
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, commonly referred to as "Botox" by patients, is a popular injectable that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes. Several other areas have been treated such as lip lines and gummy smiles, and the substance is even used to reduce over sweating in the armpit area.
Botulinum toxin is a purified substance that's derived from bacteria. Injections of botulinum toxin block the nerve signals to the muscle in which it was injected. Without a signal, the muscle is not able to contract. The end result is diminished unwanted facial wrinkles or appearance.
How long does it take to set 100%?
You will start to notice reduced movement after 1 week however the substance takes 14 days to set fully. Please be patient with this process, it will be worth the wait.
How long does this last?
It usually lasts around 3-6 months. Everyone's muscles are different, therefore some clients can get 6 months out of it, where as some clients come back every 3 months to keep them wrinkles away.

2 Areas is classed as your forehead and your frown lines (in-between your eyebrows) the 3rd area is your smile lines (crows feet at the outside side of each eye).

Why do people have Anti-Wrinkle treatments?
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prevention. This treatment should be used as a preventative to reduce the amount of deep fine lines and wrinkles that slowly appear in your skin from the age of 25. The skin looses 50% of its collagen and elastin production at the age of 25, then by the age of 50 its pretty much none existent. This substance when injected into the aging areas, it stops the muscles from over contracting, allowing it only slight movement which then prevents the lines being made in the skin.
Is Botulinum Toxin safe?
This substance, if prescribed by a medic is totally safe. Please make sure your practitioner uses safe products and is trained in this particular treatment.
Aftercare
- Drink 2 Litres of water
- Do not lie down for 4 hours post treatment
- No excess sweating in the gym
- No sauna/steam rooms for 48 hours
