What is Mesotherapy Glow Ampoule? 

The CLINICCARE EGF Glow mesotherapy cocktail contains a mixture of anti-pigmentation, hydrating, firming, tightening and antioxidant ingredients to eliminate uneven skin tone (such as age spots, melasma and sun damage), and to restore moisture and firmness caused by the degradation of native hyaluronic acid and collagen fibres.

What is Mesotherapy via derma pen method? 

Microneedling is an advanced facial, using a Derma Pen with micro needles(36 needles).   The needles puncture the skin at different depths(depending on the chosen needle depth your practitioner chooses for your skin) to activate Collagen & Elastin production (Collagen is a structural protein that keeps your skin strong and resilient. Production of this youth-promoting protein decreases as you get older, which contributes to the development of the lines and wrinkles.) and also generating lots of new skin cells at a much faster rate than usual.  I like to explain it as your skins healthy life cycle. Every time you have a Microneedling treatment done, you are saying BYE BYE to your old and aged skin cells and saying HELLO to your new, fresh and youthful skin cells.

What's the difference between Microneedling and Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy also known as Medical Grade Serum (Approved by science) combines a bespoke cocktail of powerful natural vitamins/minerals and active ingredients, which are injected into the lower layers of the skin. This is done via the Microneedling method, so you achieve all the amazing benefits from Microneedling, only we add the chosen medical grade serum to needle into the deeper layers of the skin and lock in lots of amazing ingredients. I like to call it SKIN FOOD.

Does Mesotherapy (Via the Derma pen) Hurt? 

Microneedling when done professionally and with the correct medical grade equipment does not hurt.  The best way to describe it and how I explain it to all my new clients who are feeling unsure about the treatment as all they think about when talking about Microneedling is 'NEEDLES' it just feels like a facial exfoliating scrub.  Most of my clients actually enjoy the feeling of the treatment (even the ones who were unsure at first). 

Please be assured that Microneedling is a very safe and beneficial method and when you come to aigeclinic for this treatment, my number one goal is to ensure my clients feel safe and comfortable. 

What to expect post treatment? 

Redness - Redness is totally normal and can last up to 72 hours post treatment. Most clients redness subsides within a few hours after the treatment, but if it lasts longer do not worry, this is totally normal.  

Dryness/Tightness - As your skin reacts to Microneedling as a mini trauma. You essentially have to go through a 'recovery stage'. During this stage you may experience some dryness and maybe even skin flaking & also a tightening feeling in your skin.  This is just your skins way of showing you it is removing all the dead skin cells and generating lots of new and youthful skin (which is classed as recovery).  This is also normal so please do not worry and just give your skin some time to recover. 

Purging - Most people think this is their skin breaking out, or not reacting well to the treatment/ingredients used. However purging happens when you use active ingredients which activate your skin to generate new skin cells at a much faster rate than usual OR when you have a facial treatment done which generates lots of new healthy skin cells at a much faster rate than usual. Purging is your skin getting rid of all the impurities/sebum/dirt by bringing them to the surface of the skin and then that's when the new skin cells appear once all the yucky stuff has been removed. Advanced facial treatments is a process, PLEASE BE PATIENT.

During your facial you can relax and unwind (maybe even have a nap like some of my clients) or we can have a good old chat and put the world to rights. It is totally up to you. 

Aftercare; 

  • Do not touch your face with your dirty hands
  • No Make up for 24 hours 
  • Keep your skin hydrated - Apply Moisturiser twice a day or more to reduce dryness 
  • Avoid excess sweating for 24 hours 
  • Avoid sauna's/swimming
  • Make sure you have clean pillow cases 
  • Use gentle cleansers to wash your face for the first 3 days especially 
  • Ensure you cleanse morning & night to make sure your skin is CLEAN
  • Stay away from all acid/retinoid ingredients for the first 5 days
  • Drink lots of water 
  • Wear SPF and do not go under direct sunlight in the first 3 days 

Important Notice

Please make sure you follow all aftercare steps after this treatment. Your skin is super sensitive and have micro open wounds therefore infections can arise if the aftercare steps are not followed. If you notice puss like spots appearing and weeping then please contact your GP right away and request antibiotics.
